Les-Bains-de-Hieu Ecolodge is located deeply in the natural reserve area of Pu Luong, Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. It is surrounded by 2 cascading waterfall, offering 3 traditional Thai bungalows, offering a great escapre to the unspoilt nature of the area. The pen air lounge area is connected to the three bungalows via a wooden walkway and perfect for relaxing and meeting other travellers. The lodge is operated by a local family with love and hospitality. Spending the time by Les Bains De Hieu Ecolodge means you are to absorb the unique customs of Thai people, accesing the chances to discover the area by bike, foot and even horse back.
An overnight in traditional bungalows re-designed by our architects will be a great experience! You will be invited to enjoy meals in the pleasant atmosphere of the “nha san”, the typical family house of “White Thai”. We have also made a great selection of wines and aperitifs, so you can sample some of the typical local dishes with fine wines.
Many activities are possible: swimming in the waterfalls, hiking, trekking, cycling or riding horses. All these activities will allow you to discover the daily life of White Thai, the people who live in this Nature Reserve. You will be amazed by the beauty of this little paradise found in Pu Luong Nature Reserve!
How to get there
You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi and drive south-west for 4 hours. Enjoy the scenery of limestone mountains and picture-worthy hills. The eco-lodge is located in the village called Ban Hieu in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. It is only accessible by foot, so the remaining distance will be walked through rice fields and local villages. Les-Bains-de-Hieu is truly off the beaten track. The eco-lodge doesn't have a website and almost impossible to find or book. Yet when you arrive at this secret paradise, you will be rewarded with a truly authentic vietnamese experience. The lodge property is located in the heart of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and encircled by 2 waterfalls, cascading down each side. What to do in Pu Luong Nature Reserve
Trek to discover Pu Luong area including rice terraces, remote villages and waterfalls are the highlights of any trip to this area. You can also enjoy some traditional dance and mingle with local in their local farm work: cultivating the rice, planting trees, learn how to weave the silk in their style or simple behold how they produce the brocade.
